Our work honors the legacy of Julia — a grandmother whose presence embodied safety, belonging, and unconditional regard. The principles that shaped her care now shape our framework.
We do not provide therapy.
We provide education, skills, and evidence-aligned support tools.

To help people understand the why beneath their emotional responses, behaviors, and patterns — and to give them actionable, accessible tools for regulation, connection, and self-leadership.
We teach individuals and systems how trauma shapes the brain and how healing habits reshape it.

Meet The Trainer
Kristina Richie is the creator of The Julia Effect, and founder of The Julia Academy of Somatic and Emotional Arts (JASEA). She is a trauma-informed educator, author of five books, and speaker with specialized training in Trauma-Informed Care, Adoption Trauma, and Helping Children Heal from Past Trauma and Loss.
Kristina holds a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Liberty University and has spent more than a decade working with foster youth, adoptive families, single mothers, and survivors of complex trauma. She has provided training for educators, caregivers, and professionals across multiple states, helping them integrate emotional awareness and trauma-responsive practices into their daily work.
Her teaching style blends narrative psychology, attachment theory, and somatic insight into an accessible framework that helps people understand their emotional patterns in a clear, compassionate and practical way.
